I had an amazing stay at a hotel in La Grave. The location was fantastic, offering breathtaking views that were truly unforgettable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay. The facilities, including the swimming pool and gym, were a great addition to my experience. The bar had a great selection of drinks, including German Wheat beer, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with cozy beds and a good selection of international TV channels. The WiFi worked perfectly, allowing me to stay connected during my visit. I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

The surrounding area offers a wide range of activities for families with children. Our little ones, aged 2 to 5, absolutely loved cycling through the beautiful countryside nearby. The hotel's location allowed for easy access to these fun adventures, making it a perfect base for exploring the area.

My wife says that having more child-friendly amenities, such as a dedicated play area or a kids' club, would have been great for families like ours.

The tourist information provided a helpful English booklet with beautiful walks around the area, including the stunning Lac Noir. The waiting room was very comfortable, the rooms were clean and had good wifi, the beds were comfy, and there were international TV channels. The breakfast was opulent, even by French standards, and the dinner was delicious. The swimming pool was a nice place to relax after a day of hiking in the mountains. Plus, the price was cheap, it's in front of the ski lift, and it's a comfortable place to recover from a day of adventure. Free wi-fi, car park, fitness centre, swimming pool, and pets allowed.

We stayed at Castillan for two nights and were delighted with our mountain-facing room and the stunning views of La Meije from the balcony. Despite facing the main road, the evenings were peaceful. Public parking was easily accessible across the road. The affordable and delicious dinner and breakfast exceeded our expectations. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, adding to the overall excellent experience.
